I don’t have a car, how easy is it to get around and experience Dublin?

It’s very easy. Dalkey Village is just 5 minutes away or it’s a 20 minute walk. Dalkey is a Heritage Town worth exploring and it has a DART rail station. The DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) Rail System is a fast and frequent way of travelling into and out of the city. It operates every 15 minutes and takes about 30 minutes. Once in Dublin, its easy get around by foot. Within Dublin the LUAS (a modern tram-like system) also makes it very easy to get around. If you are using public transport during your stay then the Leap Card is great value. You can use it to avail of transport on the DART, LUAS, Airport Air Link Services and Dublin Bus Services. See details of getting here and getting around.

I HAVE a car, how easy is it to get around and experience Dublin?

A car can give you some extra freedom, but we would still advise you to frequently use public transport in the City (see answer above). We are easy to get to by car via the M50, and parking with us is FREE. You can drive to Dalkey Village and park all day at the DART Rail station. You can also choose to drive along our coast and to places within day trip reach, like County Wicklow which has excellent attractions including Powerscourt Estate (rated the #3 gardens in the world by National Geographic) just 18km away.
